Talk to Me - Vocalized hot corners in pure data

March 10, 2012

This program embodies the spirit of "you can do anything in pd" philosophy. I've created a patch that uses the mouse locations to give the user feedback.

The story behind it is very simple. I have hot corners on my mac. Whenever the cursor is on the right upper corner of the screen all of the open windows get populated, right bottom corner triggers the desktop and left upper corner locks the screen black. Whenever someone else is on my computer showing me something, they get attacked by these hot corners and in that split second they don't know what to do. So What's better than have a vocal feedback each time these corners gets triggered.

I had so much fun patching and got great feedback on it at the class presentation. Apparently I have a soothing voice - as many said in the class.

There are still many areas of the program that needs tweaking but it's a good start.
